About Sara.McKee

Artist Statement

My artworks are influenced by literature, folklore, nature, and the human condition.

I work with figures and faces of people and sometimes creatures or symbolic imagery.

Throughout my works, I explore the contrast of innocence and darkness that plays on the edge of every human story.

I want to connect the veiwer to their own ability to find redemption and magic through that visual balance of light and darkness; perhaps imbuing the artworks with my own intentions of power for the veiwer to incorporate within themselves.
